Portal restart after heap dump genrated
Hi Experts,
JAVA is getting restart after Heap dump generated we have increase the parameter also added one node but still the problem is coming i analyze the Heap dump from Memory analyze tool but in that just found attached problem suspect 1.
I have already referred with below notes.
1127156 - Safety belt: Result set is too large
1515139 - Frequent WEB AS JAVA out of memory crashes and/or core dumps due to large BI data access queries.
1622134 - Safety belt: Results quantity is too large (Excel/PDF)
Please help me to resolve the issues.

SAP Portal UWL Do Not Appearing WorkItem New and In Progress
Hello experts!
I configured the UWL on SAP Portal 7.4, and there are several connections like: SRM, ECC, etc..
The workitems with status "Newand In Progress" is not appearing at Portal UWL. At the ECC Inbox Workflow(transaction SBWP) this same workitens is appearing normally, at the status Ready.
An important information is that the workitens at status "Completed" is appearing at the UWL, which indicates that the UWL configuration required between SAP Portal and SAP ECC is working properly.
We have already double checked all settings at SAP Portal and SAP ECC sides, they are all correctly setted and working properly.

JVM Vendor is not supported
Hello All,
I recently downloaded NWDS 7.31 and Latest JDK(1.8.0_20) from oracle.
But I am getting error your JVM is not supported. It suggests that try installing JDK 1.6.0_07 provided by SAP or Sun Microsystems.
My question is Since oracle acquisite Sun Microsystems what is the point here to ask for different JDK.

HTMLB Link : opening in new window
Hello,
I have a custom worksetmap component (which extends AbstractPortalComponent).
In one scenario it renders a list of sap systems, on click of which, opens a saplogonpad.
Now the issue we are facing is that when user clicks on one such link, worksetmap component screen goes blank.
We are using following way to set HTMLB link properties: -
titleLink.setReference(<link to sap system>);
Is there any way to open this in a new window so that worksetmap component stays on its current state?

Error deploying custom EAR file from NWDS to Portal 7.4
Hi All
I am trying to deploy a custom EAR file to our Portal 7.4 SP7 system. The EAR file was a PAR file running correctly on the old system EP 7.0
I migrated it to PAR using the support tool, and while deploying it on the server using NWDS 7.31, I am getting errors
Exception occurred during the 'Deploy' operation. Cause:Cannot obtain deployment client Exception: com.sap.ide.eclipse.deployer.api.APIException: Could not retrieve deployment system configuration for EPX. Please check if the system is running.
Yesterday only we change the SDEFAULT parameter to DEFAULT and rebooted the EP servers couple of times. The server does not ask for OS level User ID anymore, but I cant seem to deploy ears from NWDS
Any help.

Changes in copy of Standard iViews not getting transported to other systems
Hello,
We are on SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.31 and have made changes to the Ajax framework page. In the Masthead, we have hidden the links 'New Session' and 'SAP Store' following the path Content Administration->Portal Display ->Framework Page Configuration. These were not available in the masthead after this change.
However when user clicks on Personalize->Portal option in the Tools area(below the masthead) a new window opens providing portal personalization options. This window was having the 'New Session' and 'SAP Store' links. To hide them, we changed the iview properties in Content Administration -> Portal Content -> Content Provided by SAP -> Admin Interfaces -> Ajax Masthead after which these links were no longer available in the Personalize Portal window as well.
We tried to add this standard iview Ajax Masthead to transport package to move these changes further in the system landscape. But standard iviews get removed from the package and the exported package does not contain these. So we created a copy of this standard iview and added it to Framework page. It was working fine in the development system. When we transported this to next system, the changes in the copied Ajax Masthead iview are not reflecting. Its properties are same to as of standard Ajax Framework Page. In Production system, we will not be provided access to the complete Portal Content so we need a way to transport these changes.
If anyone has come across such a requirement please provide help to resolve this.

Portal role missing for UI5 based ESS /MSS role in EHP7
Hi,
We are on NW 7.4 portal with EHP7 backend . I am trying to configure ESS, MSS portal role which contain UI5 based landing pages. I am unable to find the relecvant role in portal to configure the same (Content Adminstration -> Portal content -> Content provided by SAP). AI have referred note 1685257 but i am not sure which roles should be uploaded via PFCG so that the roles are visible in portal content management.
Any idea what might be the reason and what needs to be done.

Support tool: User of JCo RFC Provider is empty
Hello, colleges.
We have the SAP Netweaver Java 7.30 SP11 system.
When we run BI Diagnostics & Support Desk Tool we get the following errors:
- User/Password combination of JCo RFC Provider is not valid
- User of JCo RFC Provider is empty
- Password of JCo RFC Provider is empty.
As a result we get red traffic light during checking.
The support tool gives the general recommendation: Set valid User/Password combination in Visual Administrator under Services/JCo RFC Provider for service with program id 'IUSPRPJAAPP21_PORTAL_PJA'.
But there is some contradiction between the system configuration and results of running of the support diagnostic tool.
In NWA in JCo RFC provider for this service we set a flag 'User RFC Destination' and set RFC Destination (under Repository Configuration section).
As you can know if the flag of using of RFC is set there we cannot set User and Password for this service so these fields become grey and not editable.
How can we remove the contradiction between the support tool and our current system configuration and get green traffic light for this setting in the support tool?

EPCM.getSAPTop().LSAPI.getSearchProviderPlugin not working
Hello,
Portal version: 7.3
I have a scenario where I have used EPCM.getSAPTop().LSAPI.getSearchProviderPlugin to search on Portal content.
I see that it works on DEV Portal, i.e., if I type something in search input box and it first shows list of results matching my search input field and when clicked on one of the suggestion, it navigates to that page.
But same functionality, when tested on TEST portal, gives "No suggestions".
Any idea what might be missing here?

SAP Search does not result all navigation points
Hello,
Portal version: CE7.3
We have customized masthead and are using SAP Search functionality to get suggestions for navigation points.
We are using a custom AFP which is created as a delta link from standard AFP.
We posted this issue to SAP and they suggested to check if issue occurs with SAP standard AFP. We noticed that it does.
Any ideas/suggestions that might help?
Does it have to do anything with custom theme we are using? (i dont believe it so, but still, just wanted to confirm).

JVM Vendor not supported error in NWDS.
I installed the NWDS 7.3 for customizing my portal 7.3 logon page. I am following an interesting blog for the same: Getting started with Netweaver 7.3 portal Part 2 - NWDS and Logon Page
However I am yet to complete this task successfully due to a JVM vendor not supported error. I have a JAVA_HOME entry to the javaw.exe path. Also, i have vm entry of the same path in the NWDS shortcut- properties- target value. C:Program Files (x86)Javajdk1.7.0_02 in
I chose program files (x86) for this installation bcos during my previous java error i read in my log that JVM 64 bit could not be run.
Initially i use to get JVM error during startup itself bcos of which i was not able to get to the home page of developer studio. I solved that error now by installing right version and making necessary entries as mentioned above. Now i get a pop up stating that oracle vendor is not supported (it says that i should have either a Sun or SAP provided java). Is it really the problem? If so, can some 1 get me the link to download it.
I am creating a new thread since the old ones posted by others on the same topic does not give me the solution.

Tiny MCE Pop Up shows blank in Portal 7.3 EHP1
Hello Experts,
We are facing an issue in tiny MCE Editor post upgrade to 7.3 EHP1. We have upgraded our portal from 7.0 to 7.3 EHP1. Post upgrade, the tiny MCE editor, shows pop up windows as blank.
We referred some of the threads, for setting document.domain ="Domain name" for cross subdomain in tiny_mce_popup.js file. However, that did not work.
We also tried to maintain FQDN in the same file and deploy. We did the same for other .js files and maintained document.domain ="FQDN name". That did not work either.
Has anyone faced this issue and was able to resolve it?
Any inputs in this regards will be helpful.
We need to find a solution for this soon.

SAPGENPSE for new SHA256 standard

We run Netweaver Portal 7.31 SP09 with SSL Signature Algorithm sha1WithRSAEncryption (1.2.840.113549.1.1.5)
Our CA auhority ask us to upgrade our hash to sha256, but I can't figure out how to do this from NWA > Certificate and Keys: Storage view.
I have investigated using SAPGENPSE command line with the following help document (with no luck)

I ran this command from the kernel directory (NTADM64 folder). It created the PSE and REQ files. I have send the REQ file to my CA authority.

Portal Role as tiles in content area
Hi,
I am working on a possibility of viewing the portal roles as tiles, instead of the normal Top Level navigation and seek some inputs.
I have disabled the top level navigation in my AFP and have set the detail level navigation to 1 (0 brings the entry points under detailed navigation). This has enabled me to remove TLN and also Detail level navigation successfully, but the first role assigned to my id opens up by default, and I cant see the remaining roles (entry points are present).
Normally in case we need to display the iviews/pages as tiles, we use the workset map iview, but since I want to display the entire TLN as tiles, what options do we have?
Any inputs?
