UWL customization in portal
Hi,
i have downloaded the uwl standard file and added code to add a new button next to create task. Uploaded the file with high priority.
clear the cache.
but changes are not getting reflected. we are working on portal 7.31 SP12.
Any pointes on this?

UWL Customization Issue
Hi All,
I have done some customization (added new tabs) in the UWL Config file and have uploaded it into DEV. The new tabs were visible in DEV.
Now we have moved to QA and I have downloaded and uploaded the same Config file but the tabs didnt appear.
The steps which I followed:
1. Downloaded the XML file from DEV
2. Uploaded the same file in QA (hence overwrting the existing configuration)
3. Deleted the personalized view
4. Cleared cache (both UWL and navigation)
5. Cleared browser cookies
Did I miss anything?
Can anyone help me on this?

UWL Navigation Style was set as None. Changing it to Tab did the trick

Rename Approve, Reject button in UWL Portal
Hi Expert
We have a requirment- user want to rename the "Approve, Reject" button in UWL approve page. The buttons should be:
- Confirm to requester - For Approve button
- Cancel and keep - For Reject Button (Same as in Tcode SBWP).
Please let me know from where should I modify it. Is it UWL XML file or anyother place at Backend. I have attached portal and workflow button screen shot for your ready reference. it is very urgent issue.

java iview Runtime error after Portal SP Update
Hi all
we have updated our Netweaver 7.02 sp3 to sp14 Recently
after the update , system is up and Running ,we are able to access /nwa
but , when tried to update /irj/portal we are getting error
"Java iview Runtime "

already we have followed SAP Note : 1889857 - Java iview runtime error while accessing irj/portal page after the upgrade or patching of the system
still the same error.

Steps followed are :

To confirm SSO configuration working, i have followed below steps:
1) Created System Object pointing to R/3 and tests were successful for authentication type "SSOLOGONTICKET / ASSERTIONTICKET"
It's J2EE application, no references or any other additional configuration been made part from above.

One click action in POWL
Hello All,
Could any one please help on the following requirement?
1. Is it possible to have one click action on each row level on POWL list?
2. Or is it possible to have a icon on the powl list(first column of each row) and the same to be associated with the action?
Note:
I am able to place either an icon or attaching an action but not both on the same cell.
Because when i define in field catalog it is either possible to mention the display type as 'IM' or 'LA' or LH'.
But my requirement is to have all these on the same cell (icon with action with hyperlink).

Export Enterprise Portal Users with Advanced Atributes
Dear Guru,
I have enterprise portal, which configured to connect to Active Directory for authentication.
It's been running well for 3+ years more.
Now I need to export portal users with non-standard attributes for audit thing.
If I'm using Export button from Identity Management as described onEnterprise Portal User Administration, it can only generate data such below:

last_name=yyy
first_name=zzz
accessibility=0
telephone=12345678
role=Role1;Role2;
group=Group1;Group2;
My question is, how can I export user data with $usermapping$ variable, as listed in Users - Identity Management - SAP Library?

This works fine

Catch RFC Exception - User Account locked
Hello,
I am hoping someone knows how in the portal to catch an exception thrown by JCo indicating a users account is locked in R/3.
I would like to trap the error and display a friendly error message to contact the correct people. I do not want to see a Portal Runtime Error get presented to end users.
Here is what it looks like in the default trace:
Caused by: com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (103) RFC_ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE: User is locked. Please notify the person responsible
at com.sap.mw.jco.MiddlewareJRfc.generateJCoException(MiddlewareJRfc.java:418)
Any docs on catching R/3 Fault exceptions is great as well.

I had changed the code in display order priority tag but it is not changing properly.

issue while using the forum API - in portal
Hi Experts,
I am doing a POC, in which I am listing all the available forums in the portal using the sap portal forum API's.
I am using the link "Generated Documentation (Untitled)" for API reference .
Her i am using the following pice of code to list all the forums in the portal.
But i am ending up with class cast exception. My pice of code is

Prompt screen
Hello,
In out netweaver portal, the prompt selection is skipped only for a specific user. That user views an instance of report he previously made. We want him to see the prompt screen when he opens up the report.
When others open the same report, the prompt screen is displayed with no problem.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Setting Company proxy IP and port in SAP EP
Dear all

application - com.sap.portal.ivs.httpservice service - proxy Still outbound calls from the server are not going through company proxy.
Basically I want to do server to server communication(from SAP EP server to external web server). I can not whitelist external web server's IP on my network(company security poplicies). Please suggest what is missing
