HTMLB Link : opening in new window
Hello,
I have a custom worksetmap component (which extends AbstractPortalComponent).
In one scenario it renders a list of sap systems, on click of which, opens a saplogonpad.
Now the issue we are facing is that when user clicks on one such link, worksetmap component screen goes blank.
We are using following way to set HTMLB link properties: -
titleLink.setReference(<link to sap system>);
Is there any way to open this in a new window so that worksetmap component stays on its current state?

Support tool: User of JCo RFC Provider is empty
Hello, colleges.
We have the SAP Netweaver Java 7.30 SP11 system.
When we run BI Diagnostics & Support Desk Tool we get the following errors:
- User/Password combination of JCo RFC Provider is not valid
- User of JCo RFC Provider is empty
- Password of JCo RFC Provider is empty.
As a result we get red traffic light during checking.
The support tool gives the general recommendation: Set valid User/Password combination in Visual Administrator under Services/JCo RFC Provider for service with program id 'IUSPRPJAAPP21_PORTAL_PJA'.
But there is some contradiction between the system configuration and results of running of the support diagnostic tool.
In NWA in JCo RFC provider for this service we set a flag 'User RFC Destination' and set RFC Destination (under Repository Configuration section).
As you can know if the flag of using of RFC is set there we cannot set User and Password for this service so these fields become grey and not editable.
How can we remove the contradiction between the support tool and our current system configuration and get green traffic light for this setting in the support tool?

NW 7.4 Portal - Log Viewer for Developers
We just recently upgraded our NW 7.01 portal to NW 7.4 and are trying to become antiquated with the many changes involved with this upgrade.
One of the first things we've encountered is that the log viewer has moved under the NWA.
Our problem is giving our developers access to a log viewer now that it's been moved. Before we were just able to copy the log viewer iView from under sys admin>support>etc and move it to a role that all the developers have access to. This isn't possible as far as I can see in 7.4.
I've found this thread: Where has Log Viewer gone in SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.3?
I know how to get to <portal>/nwa/logs and also about the Troubleshooting Wizard at <portal>/tshw, but from what I can tell (and I have yet to find any real concrete information) is that in both the /nwa and /tshw require the Administrator role to access them...or at least to be able to use them; I notice I can access the tshw with a our developer permissions but it just throws errors.
Is there a way to give people who only have developer permissions on the portal (mainly Content Administration and ability to deploy from NWDS to the portal) access to the log viewer, or some sort of log viewer??
Is giving them access to the file system at the operating system the only other way to do this?

SAP Portal 7.3 Logon Page customization not reflecting after restart
Hi Experts,
I need your help with SAP 7.3 Log on page customization. Here is what I have done so far.
1. Imported the War file, created new project and applied all the changes
2. Created an EAR.
3. In the EAR file I have made changes to applicaion.xml to modify the context root as <context-root>custom_logon</context-root>
4. Deployed the EAR
5. From NWA changed the UME property ume.logon.application.ui_resources_alias=/custom_logon
6. Restarted the server.
My issue after restart the portal still continues to use the old log on.

JCO USER same approver Pernr
Hi Friends,
I have error, while trying to approve CLOCK IN /Clock OUT from custom developed WDJ application, it's not displaying any records, If approver pernr mapped with JCO user data is displaying and approving, this is for all managers same record appearing. Please do the needful. rest of all WDJ applications are working fine.

Changes in copy of Standard iViews not getting transported to other systems
Hello,
We are on SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.31 and have made changes to the Ajax framework page. In the Masthead, we have hidden the links 'New Session' and 'SAP Store' following the path Content Administration->Portal Display ->Framework Page Configuration. These were not available in the masthead after this change.
However when user clicks on Personalize->Portal option in the Tools area(below the masthead) a new window opens providing portal personalization options. This window was having the 'New Session' and 'SAP Store' links. To hide them, we changed the iview properties in Content Administration -> Portal Content -> Content Provided by SAP -> Admin Interfaces -> Ajax Masthead after which these links were no longer available in the Personalize Portal window as well.
We tried to add this standard iview Ajax Masthead to transport package to move these changes further in the system landscape. But standard iviews get removed from the package and the exported package does not contain these. So we created a copy of this standard iview and added it to Framework page. It was working fine in the development system. When we transported this to next system, the changes in the copied Ajax Masthead iview are not reflecting. Its properties are same to as of standard Ajax Framework Page. In Production system, we will not be provided access to the complete Portal Content so we need a way to transport these changes.
If anyone has come across such a requirement please provide help to resolve this.

SAP NW 7.4 Get for navigation tree for user using LSAPI

I am trying to get the full navigation tree for a logged user so i can create a mega-menu.
Currently using this but only gets down to level 2

Portal role missing for UI5 based ESS /MSS role in EHP7
Hi,
We are on NW 7.4 portal with EHP7 backend . I am trying to configure ESS, MSS portal role which contain UI5 based landing pages. I am unable to find the relecvant role in portal to configure the same (Content Adminstration -> Portal content -> Content provided by SAP). AI have referred note 1685257 but i am not sure which roles should be uploaded via PFCG so that the roles are visible in portal content management.
Any idea what might be the reason and what needs to be done.

"Refresh type" not present in POWL_QUERY
This is the ABAP Web dynpro POWL: FITV_POWL_TRIPS.
I get all other parameters but seem to be missing the dropdown called "Refresh type" where you configure at which actions the POWL Query is supposed to refresh.
It's currently set to manual so the only users who get new work items, are the ones who can find the "Refresh button" 
Any clues on how to set the refresh rate?

I just installed NW7.4 and I would like to deploy BP for Sales Compensation Analyst (Insurance), but I cannot find tool to deploy such BP.
I am also unable to find any documentation on how to deploy business packages to NW7.4.
please help.

Error deploying custom EAR file from NWDS to Portal 7.4
Hi All
I am trying to deploy a custom EAR file to our Portal 7.4 SP7 system. The EAR file was a PAR file running correctly on the old system EP 7.0
I migrated it to PAR using the support tool, and while deploying it on the server using NWDS 7.31, I am getting errors
Exception occurred during the 'Deploy' operation. Cause:Cannot obtain deployment client Exception: com.sap.ide.eclipse.deployer.api.APIException: Could not retrieve deployment system configuration for EPX. Please check if the system is running.
Yesterday only we change the SDEFAULT parameter to DEFAULT and rebooted the EP servers couple of times. The server does not ask for OS level User ID anymore, but I cant seem to deploy ears from NWDS
Any help.

I have a J2EE application deployed on SAP NW 7.31.
This application calls some Web Services on ABAP side.
I would to call these Web Services through SAP Logon Ticket authentication method.
In the topic http://scn.sap.com/thread/375890, the solution was to pass the ticket as a parameter.
I can read the MYSAPSSO2 and store the value into a string.
But, how can I pass the ticket string as a parameter in the call of Web Service?
I need to pass the parameter like a URL Parameter or like a WSDL parameter?
What the name of this parameter?

However when the user press the botton Finish, I need return to the previuous screen.
In this moment the system genere this message of error.
I also have checked this note: 0959417, "Integrated ITS, Closing Session When Transaction Ends".

How to implement an SAP iView to pass back a JSON Web Token

I have a requirement to send a URL with POSt from Enterprise Portal (could be an applicationintegrator or URL iView) with the MappedUser and Group parameters to a .NET application site running IIS 7.0. The .NET site will return a JSON Web Token that would encrypt the MappedUser and Group to the Enterprise Portal. From there I have to append the token with another URL and perform a GET to access the .NET application site.
We are not doing any SSO or SAP logon ticket. The requirement is to ensure the parameters are encrypted with JSON for security purposes. Have anyone done this before?

Add to Portal favorites option in new Headerless portal window
Hi,
Our requirement is to open all the BO iviews in a new headerless portal window. Also need to have an option of ADD TO PORTAL FAVORITES for these iviews.
We are able to open the iviews in headerless portal window but we are not able to see option of ADD TO PORTAL FAVORITES in the context menu even though the iview property for ADD TO PORTAL FAVORITES is set to YES. Instead of add to portal favorites we are seeing "add to browser favorites" in the context menu for this headerless portal window.
Please let me know where to enable the property so that we can see ADD TO PORTAL FAVORITES option in context menu for Headerless portal window.
