Images not working fine on WPC page

Hi Experts,

 

In my project, i had created a WPC page which is used as Anonymous page for my portal.

I had placed content such as images, article etc on the WPC page. It works fine in Dev portal. The images were uploaded in a folder in the content library in area management role.

 

But, when I transported the WPC content to the quality portal, the images on the anonymous page i.e. the WPC page started prompting for username and password. All the other content on the WPC page such as article, paragraph etc are working fine but images are prompting for user credentials.

 

Could anyone help me to this issue.

SAP EP 7.4 FPN Could not open iView. The iView is not compatible with your browser

HI All

 

We are migrating from EP 7.01 to EP 7.4 SP3,  we are facing a problem accessing SRM 7.01 content with Chrome browser, we have activated in the SRM side allowotherbrowsers to true, then when we access using our current portal 7.01 using Chrome... the content is displayed properly, but when we try to do the same trought our EP 7.4 the content is not displayed Could not open iView. The iView is not compatible with your browser.

 

I have checked the allowed browsers list in our Framework page of EP 7.4 and Chrome is there. I think the problem is because the Iview in the provider is only having "(MSIE, >=5.5, *) (Netscape, *, *) (Mozilla,*,*)" then the framework page in 74 is not reading chrome from the iview in the producer and is locking the content. 

 

In general this is the problem:

 

EP 7.01 --> FPN to SRM 7.01 (Chrome browser)  = OK

EP 7.4 --> FPN to SRM 7.01 (Chrome browser)  = Could not open iView. The iView is not compatible with your browser

 

The FPN is takes the Framework page of consumer portal to display the producer content, it means that is trying to read the Ivew properties from SRM portal that does not contain Crhome in the supported browsers list. it is not happening in version 7.01 becuse the "fix" allowotherbrowsers service is there, but this service does not exist is EP 7.4. or you can nor add or modify the property.

 

do you have some suggestion to fix this issue?

ESS Record working time iview rendering issue after upgrade

Hello experts,

we upgraded successfully to

Abap: EHP6 NW 731 SPS8

Java:  EHP2/3 NW702 SPS9

 

Now our record working time iview shows unwanted trendlines:

Before upgrade:

Action to resolve the issue:

Ctrl-rightclick in content management on the iview preview to open the admin personalisation, we tried different settings there, but to no avail.

 

Can you please advise how to get rid of those unwanted grid lines?

Problem with FPN content 2nd Time

Hi all, I have posted this discussion before under the following title

Problem with FPN content

 

We are having this problem again when we have tried transporting some new content through our landscape.

 

The content is arriving in production with broken delta links,

 

Under the PCD inspector and the remote content folder the workset just is not showing in there and also the workset folder is showing as not being update since December, when I look at this in our QA enviroement it shows as being updated on todays date but our production system does nto seem to be updating at all.

 

There are no inconsistencies found in the pcd tools, have done a full sync of all content and been through every setting I can find, can we force this to refresh. Why is it not showing as changed despite us transporting content through the landscape today.

 

What I did notice last time we had this problem was a re-start of the server seemed to cure it, which led me to look at the the following services

applications/com.sap.portal.fpn.rdl/services/OriginalContentSynConsumerService

 

We can not be re-starting our prod system every time we want to transport content, it would be up and down more than god bless ya.

 

Can anyone help me with this

How to configure Dropdown option on selection of a Portal Role

                  According to the requirement i need to create a drop down when a role is selected instead of showing the option in workset .

On selection or when the cursor is pointed to at the Role.Also let me know the technical  team for the same.

I found OSS notes 737625 and 715400  that are relavant , but I know not quite confident as to what all parameters and by how much the size of those parameters should be increased? I understand that the mpi/total_size_MB  need to be increased.

Also for AIX sidadm ulimit -n we currently have "no files(descriptors) 2000" , how much should this be changed?

 

Please suggest all the parameters/sizes that need to be edited. We have around 6000 users that use the system heavily.

 

Our default values:

rdisp/elem_per_queue = 4000

mpi/total_size_MB = 500

mpi/buffer_size = 65536

mpi/max_pipes = 16000

Theme problem after SP upgrade.

Dear All,

 

I am working on NW7.31

I developed the theme by theme editor in SP 4

Now we have upgraded the SP 4 to SP10.

In the applications like UWL,Who's Who the customized theme is not retaining.These applications have the standard_tradeshow.

I checked the CSS version of SP4 n SP10 both are diffrent. I tried to create new theme still these applications are not with custom theme.

I tried to upload the theme that i took from SP4 system even that is not working.

Another problem is Payslip that is a Adobe PDF its opening in the screen but when i scroll down the pdf shakes.

 

Please advice me.

How to copy user roles and groups from UMe to LDAP

Hi,

 

We are currently using UME as datasource for our IDs and planning to switch to LDAP. All the roles and groups are asigned to user IDs from UME. Now when we move to LDAP, we have the same IDs there also. So there will be a conflict on doing the datasource switch. Is there a way to copy all the role and group assignments from UME IDs to LDAP Ids?? Since there are hundreds of them, manually doing it will take a lot of time.

 

Pls suggest a solution.

Roles assignment to users missing after LDAP configuration change.

Hi All,

 

We have an external MSADS datasource for our IDs for our portal. LDAP is being used to fetch IDs from MSADS to portal UME database. But we were required to change to LDAPs i.e enable SSL between UME and LDAP source. We have defined the MSADS server and other attributes to be fetched using in a XML configuration file.

 

During the process of enabling SSL by basis, the roles assigned to the user have gone missing. Whenever we login using the ID there is message "No roles assigned to the user". What could be the reason??

 

The configuraion on the UME tab from system Admin tab and the XML config file ws played around with. Could this be the reason??

 

If we need to change the connection from LDAP to LDAPs, what are the pre-requisites or proper procedure to do so that we dont lose the role assignments of users in the portal. Does the back up of user master be taken?? How can we avoid this role assignment issue?

DB2 is not recognized with 'startsap' (AIX,DB2,SAP-PORTAL)

Hi,

  

We are having issue when starting sap portal with command 'startsap', throwing below error:

sidadm> startsap
Database db must be started on remote server
Log on to remote server and start database
  

Even after I start db2 manually with 'db2sid', throwing same above error.

  

Where as 'stopsap' command is recognizing that db2 is running and checking it and stopping the same. (means 'stopsap' was recognizing db2 perfectly).

We have not done any other changes and also checked with AIX team.

Theme modification Portal 7.31 and input-enabled field BW-IP

Hi Portal experts

 

We have upgraded our BW and Portal to 7.31.

Additionally our Portal theme has been modified. Anything looks nice, but only the input-enabled cells from BW-IP for user-specific entering of plan/forecast values has not the same distinguished colour as in the standard portal.

 

How and where can we change the cell colour for input-enabled (BW-IP) cells?

GP Task Not appearing in UWL

Dear Team,

 

I am not able to get the GP task in UWL in NW CE 7.31. In Universal Worklist Systems, GuidedProceduresConnector system  is active only.

 

I am getting the below error message while loading UWL.

 

Error Message:

while trying to invoke the method com.sap.security.api.umap.system.ISystemLandscapeObject.getAttribute(java.lang.String) of an object loaded from local variable 'system'

 

Kindly let me know if any configuration is missing.

Issue with EP user Ids

Dear All,

 

We have ECC6 Userids who perform ECC6 transactions through SAP-GUI and also access SAP-HR through SAP-EP (for ESS/MSS functionalities). SAP-EP has Logon-tickket based SSO with ECC6. How can we use the same user id for accessing ECC6 transactions through SAP-GUI.

 

For example:- In portal we are using P00161698 but in ECC6.0 we are using 161698. We want to use the same id:161698 for ECC6.0 as well as for portal.


So please let us know how we can use same user Ids in both server.(Portal and ECC)

Roles Change Recording

Hi,

 

I have the following issue. I would like to have Change Recording for custom Role changes in the PCD. Recording Role changes of is working fine, actually it is working a litte too well. The problem is that it is also logging user assignments to Roles.

 

How can I avoid recording role assignments to roles while keeping Change Recording made to Roles in the PCD?

 

Please DO NOT reply with any general links on how to configure Change Recording (but feel free to tell me where in the general info the answer to my question can be found)

 

Portal version is 7.31.

SSO between Sharepoint and SAP Portal

We have MS SharePoint Portal 2010 and SAP Portal 7.31 and want to establish Single Sign On(SSO) between the two. What's the best way to achieve the same ?

 

Any help would be highly Appreciated.
