How to find the RFC connection used by Portal

Hi,

Could someone help me with this issue please?

 

Some of our users get a 500 internal server error when trying to access BW Reports through Enterprise Portal. Logs indicated that new RFC connections couldn't be opened to the BW Systems. So I checked SM04 in BW and found that the number of RFC connections has reached the maximum limit of 200. I could see some of the connections are more than 10 days old. I manually did an "End Session" for some of these old ones.

 

Before the connections reach the maximum limit again, I would like to know:

 

1. Why the old connections are still there with a status of "Connected"? Is there a Parameter/Configuration that will close these connections after users close the Portal?

2. How do I find the exact "RFC Destination" and "Jco RFC Provider" that are used by a specific portal report to connect to BW?

 

Any help will be much appreciated.

/IRJ related functions not working

Dear Experts

I want to use sap FIORI framework page and hence I have made below settings at the LAFSERVICE in NWA. As a result of this, IRJ related function stop working.

http://<hostname>:50000/irj does not load the login page

http://<hostname>:50000/nwa loads the login page

 

In the log viewer I get below message

java.lang.NullPointerException: while trying to invoke the method com.sapportals.portal.prt.service.laf.bo.less.Library.getThemes() of a null object loaded from local variable 'library'


please suggest solution

Outlook Web Access (OWA) and SAP Portal

Hello,

 

we have integrated the Outlook Web Access (OWA) into the SAP Portal. The problem that we have is that when you click on 'Log off' in the OWA you are automatically also logged off the portal.

 

Is there a way to avoid that the 'Log off'-Button of the OWA is no longer displayed?

How to add more coloumn to clear multiple document number using F-44

Hello,

 

Can anybody tell me how to add more than 19 columns to clear document numbers more than 19 at a time using F-44 in SAP.. There are only 19 column in default settings which can only be used to clear only 19 documents at a time.

As per my requirement there are 6000 documents which needs to be cleared, but I can only put 19 documents at a time. And to clear 6000 document numbers it takes hours, I am an employee, not an expert. And I may not have all the access to SAP T-codes. So Kindly provide me a better way to do this. Thanks.

Federated Portal Initial Configuration Page with Error

Hi Forum

 

   I have an exception (No enum const class com.sap.portal.fpn.automation.persistence.type.Protocol) in System Administration > Federated Portal > Manage My FPN Connections

 

 

This is a SAP Portal 7.40

ExceptionHandler.handleThrowable: Exception occured during processing of Web Dynpro application  sap.com/tc~pp~fpn~producer_management/ProducerManagementApp. For details, check entry C0000A8A024C01200000000100005072 in trace (Internal Server Error 500 trace destination).

WBTs in EP with Apache, request takes too much time. NW 7.3

Hello,

 

if we use CMS Adress for ContentPlayer like that

 

https://personalonlineq.lvm.de/irj/go/km/docs/documents/WBT_Content/QPO

 

it takes more than 2 minutes to get somenthing back from the system. When i put the real servername in it, like lp505.lvm.de:50102/irj/go/... it takes about 2 seconds to get something back...

But we have to use the Apache-URL, otherwise our partners get a proxy-error.

 

Any recommandations?

Browser Tab Title 7.02 vs. 7.40

We are currently upgrading to Netweaver 7.40 and are using SPS 12.

 

We've noticed the behavior of the browser title appears to have issues or perhaps has changed from our current 7.02 environment.

 

In 7.02, after the title populates with Overview - SAP Netweaver Portal, which is essentially the title of the second level navigation tab plus the constant SAP Netweaver Portal.

 

On this tab is the are announcements and the UWL.

 

In 7.40, as the page starts to populate the tab reads the same with Overview - SAP Netweaver Portal, however, once the page is done loading (and I should mention the UWL is the last iView to load, the browser tab just says UWL instead of saying Overview - SAP Netweaver Portal.

 

This behavior continues across tabs so when I go to the ESS tab and Overview is selected, I see the same title in 7.02 which is Overview - SAP Netweaver Portal.

 

But in 7.40, I see that same title as the page is loading but when finished, the title changes to XssMenu.

 

I've looked through configuration to see if this has changed somewhere but could not find anything.

 

Can someone confirm whether this is the behavior of the browser tab title now or if this looks like something to report?

Hi,

I am working on SAP Biller Direct java customizations. Can anyone help me find answers to these questions.

 

--  I have created local DC from the Biller direct track in NWDI. I would like to change the User registration page in Biller Direct.

Can any one let me know the JSP page name for that and where can i find it in the components.

 

--- Also all this development do i have to do it in J2EE perspective and checkin my changes?

 

Also i would like to know if anyone can send some documents on devlopment part of Biller direct.

Effect on Portal applications after upgrading ECC 6 EHP4 to EHP 7

Hi Experts,

 

We are planning to upgrade ECC to ECC 6 EHP7 from EHP4.

Portal version is 7.01 sp7

 

Could you please suggest whether any portal applications will be effected after EHP upgrading.

 

We are using ESS/MSS and deployed below business packages.

 

BP_ERP5ESS 1.41 SP7

BPERP5MSS 1.41 SP7

UWL completed work items do not appear neither automatically either after refresh

Hello Experts,

 

I created a specific view in UWL which contains the approved invoice with completed status, but this view isn't refreshed automatically.

 

I set the parameter refresh to "60" but it still does not work .

Currently we  are having landscape of : SAP ECC6.0 and  Netweaver portal 7.31 .

 

Now we are palnning to upgrade our SAP ECC 6.0 to ECC EHP 7.

I request you to kindly let me know if any dependecies between ECC EHP7 and SAP Netweaver portal 7.31 .

Currently we are using ECC 6.0 and portal 7.00 SP20. Now we are planning to upgrade ECC 6.0 EHP 3 to EHP 7, Kindly let us know if any business impact or any issues while upgrading in portal.

Work Overview Page is not Refreshing in NWBC

Dear Experts,

 

We are using NWBC Inbox application IBO_WDA_INBOX.  When we login to MSS Work Overview is not refreshing the contents.

 

Only Notification is refreshing under Work overview , rest Leave Approval , work items are not refreshing. PFB screenshot and guide me what are the configuration need to be done.

Field details missing in Organizational Assignment for Employee Profile in ESS

Dear Experts,

 

I am using HR Renewal 2.0 in SAP EP 7.5. When i opened the Employee Profile from My Info lane then the data is not coming in few fields as shown in below screen shots.

 

Fields are--  Position, Job, LOB, Org. Unit.


These fields are already configured in backend.

Error in MSS My Reports

Dear Experts,

 

I am using HR Renewal landing page in EP 7.5. When I am trying to open the My Reports under MSS service then its opening like below screen shots.

right click not working for Transaction iview in portal 7.0

Dear All,

 

Right click in not working in transaction Iview, in attached screen shot of iview.

When I want to right clicl in any folder it is not working just one circle is rounding and nothing open.

But when I check with backend ecc system right click is working fine on folder.

 

Please suggest if any idea.

 

I am facing this issue in production environment.

Automatic Claim of UWL tasks no longer working

Hi All,

 

We are on IE11 and 7.31 sp16.

 

I am not sure if this issue is a side effect from a recent SAP upgrade or the upgrade to IE11 but we have noticed that our custom UWL tasks are no longer being automatically claimed.  That is to say when a user clicks on the task in their UWL, it is no longer removing that task from other user's UWL.  So in essence we could have a number of users all working on the same process.. not good..

 

We have made no change to this application/UWL config.  It has been working fine for the last 8 years.

 

I'm wondering if additional UWL config is required for our tasks since the upgrade?  Anyone experienced this before?

Portal session does not close when browser tab is closed

hi All,

 

we are on sap nw portal version 7.4. When I close the browser tab in a multiple tab browser the session does not close.

The same is not happening if I close the browser window.

 

So I tried retrieving mysapsso2 cookie and modifying its setMaxAge but still the sessions are not getting closed.

 

Has any of you faced this issue before?? If yes please let me know what can be done?
