MSS NW 7.4 WDA - Service Map -How to hide it from Portal

Hi Experts,

 

After implementing MSS with standard roles, I could see there are three tabs coming up, 1) overview 2) Reports 3) service map.

 

 

In service map, we have the same menu which is there in overview tab but look and feel is different, not sure why.

I need to know how this service map comes up with effecting of uploading standard MSS role and what is the use of service map.

 

Also, I was trying to understanding which launch pad Role comprises Service Map menu as I can see Roles in LPD_Cust for overview and Reports nit not for service map - I am intended to ask here that can we hide this Service Map tab from MSS portal as user may not find it useful to them,.

 

Kindly throw some light on it.

ESS:MSS - How to map two Clients on same enterprise portal 7.4

Dear Experts,

 

We are implementing ESS/MSS on netweaver 7.4 and using WDA application - we could successfully launched all services by following all per-requisites of portal implementation like activating relevant business functions, uploaded PFCG roles to portal and Business objects and all.

 

Now, we have business requirement to map two clients on same portal and we are trying to understand the way out to do it.

Would like to mention that I am a functional consultant and in absence of portal consultant, I am carrying out this activity and facing various difficulties.

 

Seeking your assistance further to map two client on same portal with same launchpad (standard) - I am just concerned to get all standard functionality on portal hence not looking forward for any customization so far.

 

What all I did so far and queries coming in mind:

 

# Created two business object with alias like considering that we have now system aliases with two system name - however now problem is that all ESS/MSS services have got standard system alias is SAP_ECC_HumanResources and how portal will no which client to refer because in both client 100 and 200, we will have same system alias.

Biggest concern.

 

# I just tried copying standard ESS role and created two Z roles for client 100 and 200 and mapped that role to user.

 

 

Now resultant, I can see two tabs for ESS and MSS but obviously both clients have got same menu - not sure from which system data is coming.

 

I tested it a way that I did hide some of the reports under MSS in client 100 by dragging those applications under "inactive application" - what I could see that changes was only done in launchpad for client 100 but I can see the changes in reports on portal for both the clients.

 

Seeking your expert suggestion to take this requirement mapped on Portal - and yes, we are looking out for standard functionality only so no customization we are supposed to do - please let me know if something can be done on the level of system objects, alias or webflow connector.

SSO intergration in Portal with JAVA system

Hi All,

 

We do have a Webservice which is running in other  Java system. So taken WSDL of it and created a development dc for a Servlet and consumed the WSDL .A

 

While testing the application in Portal . We are below error. ( Peer certificate rejected by ChainVerifier) We had already uploaded certificate of Java in SAP Portal  But Still we are getting below Error.

 

We also tried created a destination. and assigned the same certificate in the drop down still getting the same

 

Error during ping operation: Error while silently connecting: org.w3c.www.protocol.http.HttpException: Peer certificate rejected by ChainVerifier


Error general: javax.xml.ws.WebServiceException: Connection IO Exception. Check nested exception for details. (Peer certificate rejected by ChainVerifier).

Reasons of Portal Unavailability?

Hello Everyone,

 

Our SAP EP is the version 7.40 SP09.

 

This week, our Portal has been unavailable during 2 hours. The users cannot access to the portal. This error message appeared:

To resolve the issue, we restarted instance and it works now, but we don't know the root cause.

This is an example of the java logs:

These users, into the logs, left the company. They are disabled and cannot connect to the portal and Windows session.

 

Do you know this kind of incident? Have you already seen these logs? I have the impression of it's KM issue because the logs seem like to refer to KM.

Can you help us to analyze these logs?

Hi All ,

 

How to get the edit button on the service map Iview and when we click on edit how can we get edit options for all the workset in the page .

For example we have an overview page under content administration->portal content management->Overview ..

shown below with screen shot

SICF - Service test is coming up as a blank page of Browser.

Hi Experts,

 

We are at EHP 7 and trying to implement WDA ESS & MSS application - I am done with implementation, but whilst testing my application on portal, I figured out that my services like Leave request and all are not getting launched on portal.

 

Hence to check this backend, I tried executing the same application in SE80 - HRESS_AC_MENU and it could be successfully tested.

However If I go to SICF and checked the same webdynpro leave request service, its getting open with a blank page on browser even if all services are activated in backend.

 

Need your valuable please.

SDM Error while loading sda file

Hi Experts,

 

I have modified the core_messages. properties file in  com.security.core.sda which is located in /usr/sap/SID/JC14/j2ee/cluster/server0/bin/ext at server. After modification i have zipped the file and sent back to Basis team to deploy from SDM. While loading the file in SDM, Basis team is getting "Error loading Archive.com.sap.sdm.util.sduread.IIIFormattedSduFile Exception:

The information about the development component found in the manifest is either missing or incomplete!

Manifest attributes are missing or have badly formatted value:..."

 

Error is attached here as attachment.

 

Kindly provide any solution for this.

Continously one user name is comeing in field "Reported by" in (solution Manager) while successfully support message created on sap portal.

Hi Exper,

 

I have created a support message successfully through the sap portal version 7.30

But the created message does not have correct name of Reported by user in sap solman system version- 7.1 field assigned.

Continously one user name is comeing in field "Reported by" while successfully support message created.

For example:

Suppose have portal user have xyz,PQR and mnm.

I am login into the portal with user PQR or mnm and create the support message successfully through the sap portal.

I am going to sap backend solman system,while checking each and every things are fine but "Reported by" field showing xyz name in Reported by field,If in create support message from any usres always reflecting xyz name in Reported by field.

 

 

Please suggest to me that where am missing config level sap portal end or sap solman system end.

Manage Reset Password in Portal by end users.

Dear All,

 

We have NW ABAP (EHP4) and NW (7.3) Java WAS on separate Stack.  We integrated Portal with R./3 System.

 

In Portal, We are using ABAP as UME Datasource.

 

We would like to allow user to change passwords by themselves.

 

I added the action Manage_My_Password  to a portal role and assigned this role to a user account. After logged with this user account and opened the option 'Personalize'. I only find the page allow me to select theme. But I haven't find tab for User Profile.

 

Also in portal, I set "Allow users to change their own passwords" by navigation System Administration --> System Configuration ---> UME Configuration ---> Under Security Policy Tab.

 

 

Please let me know where i went wrong or did i miss any permission to roles or groups.

Problem with URL iview

Hi Experts,

 

We have created a URL iview for Business intelligence when we click on that iview it should display in separate tab with business intelligence URL. But it is not working as we expected i.e., When we click on business intelligence iview it is displaying in a separate window it is pointing to portal URL instead of business intelligence URL.

How to set HTTP header in portalLogon.jsp

Hi everyone!

 

We implemented customized portal logon app, using this guide Customizing Logon Page on Portal 7.3

No we want to implement NTLM authorisation, for this purpose I need to set HTTP header

I am trying to do it with such code in logonPage.jsp:

response.setHeader("WWW-Authenticate", "NTLM");


But server returns no WWW-Authenticate HTTP header to client, I guess becouse we have

some wrapper classe instead of HttpServletRequest and HttpServletResponse in our portal logon app.

This wrapper class erase any http header that I try to set I guess for security reasons.

So the question is how to configure portal logon app (or maybe some other portal environment)

to accept headers that we set at portal logon page jsp.

Stop header X-UA-Compatible

Our portal uses light framework page and I have already specified IE=Edge in Browser Mode in Portal Content-->Portal Users->Standard Portal Users-->Ligth Framework Page. But the portal (main page, https://my.abc.com) keeps sending header X-UA-Compatible = "IE=EmulateIE7".

 

Can anyone tell me what I have missed? It is EP 7.4, SP12

Customizing web dynpro Java iview

Hi Experts,

 

We need to add the date column for a table in Reimbursement iview in Employee Self Service.

 

As it is web dynpro java iview how can we customize with NWDS?

 

How can we add the same iview into ESS after customization?

 

How can we capture the date for each Reimbursement entry?

Multiple Login restricting in SAP Portal

I have to restrict a particular user id  with multi login check on sap portal.

My requirement is to allow only one session per user at the time to login into the sap portal.

Hi Team,

 

We are NW 7.4 and have implemented ESS/MSS WDA application.

 

Initially all Iviews were working properly but all of sudden I am getting error on MSS home page as attached in thread.

 

I understand that this error comes up bcause of some config error, or master data but somehow I am not to figure out how and where some changes are inconsistent.

 

Please can I have some assistance and expert inputs on the same.

White or blank screen in MSS-> General Information

Hi All,

 

When I am trying to open MSS-> General Information, popup is opening with blank/white screen.

 

I tried to check the logs in NWA and ST22 , but there are no logs captured.

also tried in personalization cleanup.. but nothing is there to clean. Also I tried to open as administrator in pcd content by clicking on the preview. There also it is showing blank or white screen.

 

Can you please throw some hints/points or solution for this issue. Thank you.

no action on clicking of logoff button in SAP Portal 7.4

Hi All,

 

When I click on logoff link in SAP Portal, it opens a popup with yes or no. On click of Yes, no action is triggered.  popup remains same.

If I click no button, popup is disappearing.  It is happening only if I user proxy portal url.

 

IF I am using direct portal url , logoff functionality is working fine.

 

Can you please suggest some inputs or advice for this strange behavior. Thank you.

SSO Between SAP PORTAL & NWBC URL (/sap/bc/srm) failed second time open

Hi Expert,

 

We  have a scenario that we are trying to connect NWBC URL iview from SAP portal 7.4 , on this , we configured logical system in protocol -http and application dedication system within portal & created Destination against SAP R3 . pinged both are successfully .

 

Issue is while oppening NWBC URL Iview from Portal is redirected successful with sso (without ask credential of sap Nwbc system) , user doing their job and  Log out from NWBC system (which one opened from Portal earlier ) its successfully logout SAP NWBC system ..0nce again User wants to open and click on NWBC  url Iview from portal (already logged ).. SSo not established between SAP portal & SAP NWBC system thereafter,its ask credential to log into SAP NWBC system though already user already logged into portal already .

 

Why Sso failed second time between SAP portal & NWBC Portal. if logout NWBC Portal .
