Course Evaluation Form is not working in ESS while accessing through IE11 in QA and PRD, the same was working in DEV in IE11
Hi Experts,
We are accessing Course Evaluation Form in ESS through IE11. The 'Complete', 'Finish' and 'Exit' buttons are not working in the form while accessing through IE11 in Quality and Production.
The same is working fine in Development along with the buttons.
We have replicated the scenario in IE8 in DEV,QA and PRD and working fine in all the cases.
All the users are effected in Quality as well as Production as we are using IE11.
Kindly suggest some inputs on this.

Button blends with background color in ESS ( PFA )

User wants to make this button bold and different color, how to make changes in sap portal ? do I need to find correct component and enhance that ABAP WD Component or just need to do configuration in ESS portal and how ?

Iframe Security Error For Cross Domain Scenario
Hello Experts,
At the moment we experience an issue with application hosted on SAP Netweaver As Java while using it in the cross domain landscape. The root of the issue is that cookies are not created for the application which is called from the iframe of another web application and located under a different domain outside of SAP Netweaver As Java. Such behavior is caused by the P3P protocol specification, which is applied to the Internet Explorer. IE treats IFrames as higher security risks being ‘foreign’ content and does not allow to create cookies.
This issue happens only on IE browser when the Privacy security level is set to Low and works well in other browsers like chrome, mozilla etc.
On searching and referring many sites,Possible solutions which were figured out:
1.Add the Portal’s domain and the external application’s domain to the trusted sites list in the IE;
2.Apply changes to the code to add special P3P header to HTTP responses, which will allow the IE to collect some user information and create cookie for different domain. Header "P3P" and value CP="CAO PSA OUR". This solution applies security risks that user data can be collected by third party.
The first solution works well. However, it forces all end users to apply the settings of adding the domain to trusted site list which we want to avoid.
Please let me know, if any of you have checked on the 2nd solution suggested (P3P ) implementation on SAP NW Application Server Java/references or Javascript code to add domain to end users IE browser when application is called.

NW 7.3 + iView from remote source wizard + R3 Web Dynpro ABAP, not working
Hi,
I think this forum is my last resort.
I'm running NetWeaver 7.3 Enterprise Portal and also have an existing ECC6 on backend.
Our ABAP Programmer has built some WD4A application on ECC, I'd like to made them available
on EP as ABAP WebDynpro iView.
From the document, I know the way to create ABAP WD iView is different since 7.3. I have to use "iView from remote source" to do it.
On EP side, I have made an system alias (test ok) for ECC, assigned permission, provide mapping id/pwd, and test.
On ABAP side, all webdynpro app are activated (T-code sicf, /sap/bc/webdynpro, /sap/public/bc/webdynpro...). I can even test WAS by bringing up browser and access some sample ABAP webdynpro .
However, I cannot success on "iView from remote source" wizard and it always show me "Nothing found. Check your search Criteria.". Eventhough I use "*" as search criteria.
Anyone has the similar situation ? I even doubt that it is a placeholder of a feature , not working for now. Anyone made it work on NW 7.3 ?

My System Alias for ECC:
Application Host: myr3.mydomain.com
SAP Client: 600
SAP System ID: DEV
SAP System Number: 00
Server Port: <leave it blank>
System Type: SAP_R3
Logon Method: UIDPW
User Mapping Type: admin,user
ICM Host: myr3.mydomain.com:8000

All other fileds are leave it as default value
I also assign a group to have "read" and "user" permission to this system
Also assign Alias to the system.
I also create a user belong to the group, assign his system mapping an ECC user ID & PWD to it.
I tested the System alias, it is working (both WEB AS test, and R3 test)
Then I try to create an iView on EP, under a PCD folder , new->iview->iview from remote source. A wizard show up. Then I can select the ECC alias just created, and provide * as application search criteria, and then select "WEB DYNPRO ABAP" as the application type. Then "GO"
as I mentioned, it always show "Nothing Found. Check your search crieteria"
But I'm sure the web dynpro applications are activated on R3.

Continously one user name is comeing in field "Reported by" in (solution Manager) while successfully support message created on sap portal.

I have created a support message successfully through the sap portal version 7.30
But the created message does not have correct name of Reported by user in sap solman system version- 7.1 field assigned.
Continously one user name is comeing in field "Reported by" while successfully support message created.
For example:
Suppose have portal user have xyz,PQR and mnm.
I am login into the portal with user PQR or mnm and create the support message successfully through the sap portal.
I am going to sap backend solman system,while checking each and every things are fine but "Reported by" field showing xyz name in Reported by field,If in create support message from any usres always reflecting xyz name in Reported by field.
Please suggest to me that where am missing config level sap portal end or sap solman system end.

Best alternate technology for CMS content
Hi All,
We want to migrate CMS contents into an alternative technology.
The first suggestion was to migrate into WPC.
But unfortunately our portal is in NW 7.4 SP09,
and in this version we are facing compatibility issues while trying to launch a CMS page from within an Ajax Framework Page, in IE 11, Standards mode (with browser document rendering mode 'EDGE'), which is our requirement.
So we are looking for other alternative approaches.
We need to support the following content elements:-
- Header
- Teaser
- Text
- Image
- List Element
- Application URL element
- page layout with Columns
We need to support the following administrative elements:-
- User rights
- Author rights
- Versioning
- Internationalization
Please share some pointers for the most suitable technology for this scenario.

Switch Portal roles for Anonymous users
Hi Experts,
we have configured our portal for anonymous logon with named anonymous users.
We are using to two guest users:
guest = Main Parent Portal
guest_kolkata = for launching region(Kolkata) specific Portal.
For this we have created two desktop corresponding to the below two URL aliases.
1. /porta/anonymous
2. /portal/anonymous/kolkata
We are able to launch desktop associated to "/portal/anonymous/kolkata" from "/portal/anonymous" by using iView.
Now, the requirement is that we need to show different set of roles(in TLN) for both the Desktop.
Can someone please guide me in this. Every single helpful pointers is appreciated.

Fiori applications are displaying blank in IE 11
Dear Experts,
We are in the Portal 7.31 and SP 13 we are using the Fiori applications in the portal but while running the Fiori applications in Internet Explorer 11 its displaying blank screen .
But all the Fiori applications are displaying in Google chrome and Mozilla Firefox .
We are using the Classic Frame Work page
We have changed the Browser document mode as IE=Edge and changed the Navigation mode as " display in separate headerless portal window (standard Mode).
But Fiori applications are always opens in new window with headerless.
but our customer is asking it should be opens in same window with header.
We are using the Ajax Frame Work Page :
We are using the Browser document mode as IE= Edge in the Frame work page
Fiori applications are displaying but Masthead logo not displaying .
If we are using the Browser document mode as IE= EmulateIE8
Fiori applications are displaying blank screen and masthead sap logo displaying .
Could you please help me any body for resolving the above issue.
If we can upgrade the Portal 7.31 sp 13 to Portal 7.4 sp 8 issue will resolve or not ?

Accesibility on Portal Favorites - SAP NetWeaver 7.4?
Hello Everybody,
We meet difficulties to navigate to the portal components with keyboard. Developments have been realized to reach "Portal Favorites" part (left side of screenshot below):
But, when you click on "Enter", it doesn't work.
For example, "KM Content" is into my favorites page on the portal. So, I navigate with keyboard to "KM Content" on "Portal Favorites" and I click on "Enter". But no page is opened.
The "Portal Favorites" is in the "Desktop innerpage" of Framework page:
Have you ever had this anomaly? Do you a correction which could resolve this problem?
Our Portal is on SAP NetWeaver 7.4 SP9 PL23.

Need to get the war file from server
Dear Experts,
We are using portal version 7.3 with Java Launchpad. We need to replace the Policies and Holiday Calendar in Portal. And I am checking with basis team for war file of this application.
I requested them to check in the path /usr/sap/<SID>/J<INST-NR>/j2ee/cluster/apps/sap.com/ but not able to find the <application-name>.
Please guide us how to get the war file for this from server. PFB screenshot Holiday Calendar need to be replaced.

Social network links inside WPC html page
Hi
we are running SAP NW Portal 7.30 SP12.
We need to add buttons for sharing portal pages through most popular social networks (Facebook,Twitter, Google+,LinkedIn) within HTML pages displayed by WPC containers into SAP Portal .
These buttons using the open graph protocol to expose the content on social networks .
OG meta tag facebook example:
<meta property="og:title" content="our page title" />
<meta property="og:type" content="article" />
<meta property="og:url" content="current_portal_url"/>
<meta property="og:image" content="url_generic_image"/>
It seems that the configuration of the open graph tags set in our HTML pages is ignored by Portal and consequently the post displayed on social network for a Portal page does not display all the meta-property values, listed above in the example.
Does the SAP Portal support a possible way to manage this scenario so to be able to publish the expected meta property data for each shared page?

I need a all users T-code list in one transaction, now I am able to do generate the single-2 users t-code list via SUIM, I have around 250 user in SAP and I want to download the all users T-code list in one transaction , so pleae help to resolve this issue as earliest.
I am using the T-code SUIM for the single user.
SUIM-> Transaction-> Executable for Users , Put the user name and execute it , so please help how to generate the all 250 users T-code list.

Getting userinformations via javascript
Hi everbody,
I´ve got a HTML form on server A and will fill the labels with userinformations from the SAP NetWeaver Portal(both are in the same domain).
How can I solve this?
My first solution was to make a ajax-request to the SAP Server where there is an JSP Page.
Via:
<%@ page import="com.sap.security.api.IUser"%>
<%@ page import="com.sap.security.api.UMFactory"%>
I can access to the userinformations and answer the request with an XML-Stream.
If both are on the same server(SAP Portal) it works fine.
But when I build it like above explained it does not work. There comes an no authorised 401 failure.
the HTML Form dont cares about the SAP Session and thats why it does not work.
Have anybody an idea?
Maybe only with JavaScript?

We have assigned the permissions as per note: 939412 but the error still persists.
When we assign Super admin role to the user it's working fine but we should not assign the Super admin role to that user.
