Hi Experts, we have recently gone through a UME change on our SAP Portal from Novell to AD, all seemed to be going really well, we made the change over linked the SAP ID to the users network ID and on change over day had no problems, all users seemed to be able to log on with there network passwords fine.
What we seem to be getting in the weeks since then is users trying to log on with the network password, the password comes up saying it has expired and needs to be changed, which isn't the case as they have managed to log onto the network perfectly fine with the same password, some users have tried to follow the change password process through and it comes back with an error saying missing.
The only way I have found to fix these users is to remove there SAP userID from there network account, run the consistency check in useradmin, this then picks the users up as being inconsistent, despite the fact they have been logging in fine for a week or so before this. Remove the inconsistencys and then re-add the SAP ID to the network account. This then works fine and they can log in with the password they where using before with no problems. So it is not an issue with the password not meeting the security policy.
I have a couple of questions
1) Why would these users, after two weeks of using the system become inconsistent
2) Why is is saying there password has expired, when it hasn't
3)Why can I only pick these users up in the consistency check, when I have removed the SAP ID from the UME source
Any help on this is greatly appreciated
