Navigation Connector and access to IPortalComponentRequest

Hi

I am trying to build my own navigation connector for which I need access to the IPortalComponentRequest object. However, when creating a Nav Connector it appears that you only have access to the principal, which is stored in the environment Hashtable.

Is there some hidden or undocumented way of accessing the current IPortalComponentRequest object
