I imported one java project DC from NWDI to NWDS (I'm using NWDS 7.0 ans portal version is 7.0 ) after importing code to local machine and done some modifications. After modifications I'm unable to rebuild the project. When i try to do this activity it throwing two errors.They are

Example Login Module - Using Java - SAP Library
and i referred security.jar file.But i was not getting this below methods.
Other four methods are need to implement in logon module.Those are getRequestValue(), getCookieValue(), setCookieValue(), getUserNameFromWebSpherePortal().
Please tell me any example for this four methods in SAP Portal 7.0

I am trying to download MastHead Par file for modification from SAP EP portal 7.02.
While Downloading from the System Administration-->Support-->Portal RunTime-->Browse Catalog-->com.sap.portal.navigation.afp.masthead or c om.sap.portal.navigation.masthead->download option. The downloaded file comes as com.sap.portal.support.browse.default. (DEFAULT File Type).

I checked in one of the SDN link, and able to convert this Default File to Zip file.
But while checking contents, I am not able to find par.bak file instead it contains only css,images,scripts folder and contents within it.
Due to which, I will not be able to import this into NWDS and make changes as per my requirement.

Please let me know, if there is any suggestion to get the correct par file, which i can import to NWDS for customizing it.

We had frequent restart of server nodes due to OOM - SAP had provided a solution which we will be implementing in next Maintenance

Meanwhile, we would like to disable the writing of these huge files in the server directory.

We have parameter "-XX:+HeapDumpOnOutOfMemoryError" already DISABLED in Config Tool (Path: Cluster_data --> Instance - IDxxxxxx --> VM Parameters --> Additional)

However, we are still receiving heap dumps, any more parameters to disable?
For an instance we have 3 server nodes, is this parameter common for all server nodes?

We have migrated to CE7.3 Ehp1 SP5 Portal and we are observing that we get following error sometimes on all over the Portal: -

"Possible session fixation attack detected! Contact your system administrator with a reference to SAP Note 1417679!"

We have went through this note and we didn't find any suitable answer for this issue.

This error comes up not in one particular application, but across portal randomly.

We created a CM Repository in our BI Java portal with Persistence Mode FSDB and pointed the Root Directory to a file system path on the server. After creating this repository initially under System Administration -> Monitoring -> Knowledge Management -> Component Monitor -> Repository Managers the status was running and it showed in green color. But now when I check the status for the repository it shows startup failed with the error message Startup Error:Â Error occured while retrieving canonical name for folder '/<FOLDER_PATH>/' (java.io.IOException: Stale file handle).

Can this be because of some change in the path done at the file system level? Since I am a portal consultant I don't have access to the file system to check this out, but I want to get some idea why this error would have started showing up. Can anyone please point me in the right direction?

We have requirement where the the users will have UWL iview in the ESS role in portal to approve the leave req etc.Inorder to achieve that i have copied the standard UWL iview into my custom folder and assigned it to the ESS role, the issue when i click on any task of the leave request in the UWL i am getting the portal runtime error
I have checked the trace in the NWA below is the detailed errorr

But when i apply the ESS&MSS role to the same user i am able to launch the leave request application to approve/reject , i am getting the error when i assign the ESS role i am getting the above errror

No notes on this issue as far I see, no threads on SCN, simply nothing. Im generally clear what the exception is telling me: the encoding of some files is wrong / not matching the expectation of EP. Which files? What is the right encoding? I know where is a porting of "file" to windows systems, I can try to use, could try to use it if I would know what and how to encode. Thanks,

we want to use the biller direct in ECC 6.0 and we installed and configured the BD, so that it works fine. Now I tried to create new user about the bd/createuser.sap form. And there I get a new Office notification. I configured the messeagetyp and number 71 to create users. Then in the Action Box the steps display form, check user data are ok with execute the step create user, e-mail I get an error E338(>4) with "Error communication with the JCO RFC server" and "RFC destination JCO_LDAP_RFC_DEST does not exist."

Hi all, I was wandering if anyone could help on this one, I have done a bit
of digging around but can’t seem to find anything, we currently run a Federated
Portal Landscape for BI and Portal, also on our portal we run SRM. We are decommissioning
our SRM system very soon, so will be left with two portals just for our BW
content. This I feel in terms of overhead and maintenance etc is going to be
over kill, so I was wandering if there was any way without having to re-create
it all, to migrate all of our federated content from the producer portal, to
the consumer portal as local content not federated, we could then go through
the process of turning the federated network off.
