SAP Web Dispatcher : Maintenance mode/HTTPS - ICMERR-EMAINTENANCE.html

$

Hello,

My systems :

SAP ECC6 EhP7

SAP Web Dispatcher 7.40 Patch numer 62.

I would like to switch SWD in maintenance mode in order to use customer error page (ICMERR-EMAINTENANCE.html).

To do that, I have added icm/HTTP/error_templ_path parameter in SWD instance profile and restarted it.

Then, I copy my customer error page (ICMERR-EMAINTENANCE.html) in directory defined by icm/HTTP/error_templ_path parameter.

Users have to access system with HTTPS connection.

After switching SWD into maintenance mode, HTTPS connection always work !!! No error message (neither the default nor custo).

I can acces my environnement.

Customer error page only appears when connecting with HTTP.....but users dont' have to user it.

icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP,PORT=80,TIMEOUT=120,PROCTIMEOUT=1200

icm/server_port_1 = PROT=ROUTER,PORT=443,TIMEOUT=120,PROCTIMEOUT=1200

icm/HTTP/admin_0 = PREFIX=/sap/admin,DOCROOT=$(DIR_DATA)$(DIR_SEP)icmandir,AUTHFILE=$(icm/authfile),PORT=80

icm/HTTP/error_templ_path = E:\usr\sap\WDQ\W00\data\icmerror

How to activate customer error page with https?

7.4 Portal - Default Portal Desktop

Preparing for migration (not upgrade) from 7.3 Portal to 7.4 Portal.  While reviewing the 7.4 Portal system I noticed there is no "Default Portal Desktop" in Portal Content-->Portal Users-->Standard Portal Users.  In 7.3 and 7.0 portal this was used to assign the desktop (Classic) and the Theme (custom).  I did not see this noted change in any documentation I can find on the 7.4 portal.  Does anyone know of a note or help section which discusses this change?

SAML and quicklinks

Dear all,

We are using NW Portal 7.30 SP10. We have configured SAML for the portal and using HTTP Post and we don't use artifact or PAOS.

When the user first launches the portal with a quicklink /irj/portal/hr/employee the user is - after authenticated at SAML - redirected to /irj/portal. When the user already have a session, the quicklink works perfectly.

We have defined the Relay State Mapping as /server/irj/portal to /irj/portal.

We have approx 100 quicklinks, so defining them as a Relay state isn't maintainable, unless we can use wildcards or something...

Hope someone can help us.

Cheers,

Noel

Normaly that means that the CIM Client is not correctly configured, but the SLD runs over the SolMan (7.1) and in the VisualAdmin > Server > Services > SLD Data Supplier

HTTP Settings and CIM Client Settings are set to the SolMan host and uses the SLDDSUSER to sync the data with the SLD.

Does anyone have an idea what process will connect hourly to the portal where the Administrator is set as user?

I've been searching and reading the now for over two days on the SCN and the web, but I didn't figured it out.

It looks like the portal itselfs want to connect to the local /sld/cimom but the SLD of the portal is still stopped, and also if its running, I get the same error every hour.

Thanks for any advise!

Problems with SAPGUI for HTML & SSO in Portal

$

I'm created a SAP Transaction iView in SAP Portal 7.0 with SP 18 with SAPGUI for HTML. When I prewiew the iView the login box appears and I need to enter user and password. After that the page opens correctly.

I made all nessecary steps for SSO as described in the how to's.

The connection test for the system connector works fine (Web AS, ITS and Connector are checked green).

If I try the iView with SAP GUI for Windows I get the transaction without a login prompt - so SSO works generally!

Does anyone have a solution?

Thanks for your help

Hi Experts,

I wanted to know if we can go for upgrade from SAP Portal 7.01 to 7.4 directly and what are the advantages of it as compared to upgrading it to 7.3 first.

Any specific prerequisites for the same like the Portal DB also needs to be migrated for HANA compatibility or its optional if currently HANA is not planned to be used.

Expert Advise would be helpful.

portal Iviews on the logon page of portal

$

Hi,

The logon page pf my portal consists of some content. These content is created as IViews and pages within portal. But when these iviews are accessed from the logon page, portal does not allow, it asks for user creadentials. I want to bypass those credentials. These iviews and pages must be availalble to the user without punching in the UME credentials.

Authentication scheme play significant role. I changes auth scheme of an ivews to "Anonymous" and tested. But still it asks for user credentials in a windows popup(if not on the atandard logon page of portal).

Guess I need to create a custom authentication scheme. Please suggest solution

thank you !

User Mapping Verification

Hi Gurus,

I have integrated LDAP in Portal as read-only datasource. Then i performed user mapping by an administrator approach as i have different backend id's and mapped all users in mass from Import/update tool. Once the tool ran successfully it outputs the details of user mapping with status as Updated or Failed.

Now my client wants from us to provide a report specifying the ldap username and corresponding mapped userid for all updated users.

I know there is no standard report to get this information so i need to do a custom development.

Please advice me what components i need to consume to get the desired report. Should an APC will be fine as i dont need a UI?

It will be helpful if you suggest an approach about the complete development in short.

Im on EP 7.3.

Thanks,

Vinstarworld

Custom Portal activity report

Hello,

I have to prepare a custom Portal Activity Report which will read Month/Year and PCD location of page from user and display following details in tabular format: -

Day, Date/Time, No. of Users, Hits, Viewer IDs

At present I have created a standard SAP Portal activity iView (com.sap.portal.activityreport.frontend.ActivityReport), however, objective is to create such custom iView and assign it to some functional users so that they can read reports on their own for different pages.

I am aware it can be possible by querying some Portal database tables, but I don't know which tables to query and what fields to be used in query.

Any idea/links/code extracts on this?

Thanks & Regards,

Amey Mogare

Java Scheduler: Jobs

Hi,

I have been tasked with looking into some alerts coming from a clients SolMan regarding some "Java Jobs" running on a Netweaver portal.

I have never worked on a Java only system before.  And I'm struggling!

Under Opereations > Jobs > Java Scheduler there are two reoccurring jobs running:

  • BPMMailReaderJob
  • GalaxyTimerJob

Frankly, I have no idea what either of these jobs do.   The BPM job ends with return code 0.  However the other job ends with return code 24.

I cannot for the life in me find what return code 24 is.   And am i even looking in the right place?!

Sorry to be a newbie!

If anyone can spare two minutes to offer some pointers I'd be grateful.

Thanks
