I created 1 role with its windows and Iviews and after assigning it to the user, it looks good but in a tray on the left panel with the name Detail navigation. We have other roles that display a tray with the name Services and I just can´t understand how it is done. I´ve been reading many posts here but found nothing relevant, except this blog which mentions an Iview with the name service. I just can´t find that Iview in my Portal.

Can somebody explain how to move all objects from detail navigation to services ??

We are currently facing an issue where in, whenever a user tries to post a time sheet entry through portal and save it, we are presented with a dump as follows,

A RAISE statement in the program "CL_XSS_CAT_BUSINESS_LAYER=====CP" raised the  exception condition "ERROR_BUFFER_MODE".

Since the exception was not intercepted by a superior program, processing was terminated.

RAISE_EXCEPTION, CL_XSS_CAT_BUSINESS_LAYER=====CP" or "CL_XSS_CAT_BUSINESS_LAYER=====CM00C",

IF_XSS_CAT_TIME_SHEET~SET_TIME_RECORDS"

CL_XSS_CAT_BUSINESS_LAYER=====CP" "ERROR_BUFFER_MODE",   "SAPMHTTP " "ERROR_BUFFER_MODE"

Have already looked for any existing notes to get this solved but couldn't find one. Have also tried clearing the buffers through SWU_OBUF, just in case. Also, the error occurs only for particular user Ids and not for all the users accessing the portal. Not really sure if clearing the user buffer would help as well.

An another point to be specified is the issue is observed only in production and the same is not observed in DEV or Quality. Any in sight into the above issue would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

We have a recent incident to our portal production system. Whenever we call our portal page, we hit this error "RFC_ERROR_COMMUNICATION: CPIC-CALL: CMRCV on convId: XXXXXXXX LOCATION CPIC (TCP/IP) on local host with Unicode ERROR connection to partner 'XX.XXX.XX.XX:sapgw02' broken TIME Tue Aug 20 11:23:40 2013 RELEASE 720 COMPONENT NI (network interface) VERSION 40 RC -6 MODULE nixxi.cpp LINE 5087 DETAIL NiIRead: P=XX.XXX.XX.XX:3302; L=XX.XXX.XX.XX:XXXX SYSTEM CALL recv ERRNO 10054 ERRNO TEXT WSAECONNRESET: Connection reset by peer COUNTER 3".

But if we are going to stay on this page for a few seconds and then retry, it worked fine. We already checked the network connection between those two systems,no error found.

Would you be able to suggest what is the best solution for this problem? Any parameters that we need to increase?

I created an Iview which I call from POWL (method IF_POWL_FEEDER~HANDLE_ACTION). Since I am new to portal and POWL I copied an existing Iview and adapted it to my needs; I also copied part of the existing code in the method for calling the iview. The answers in this post helped me a lot, because I was not able to get the Iview displayed.

The problem is that I get this stupid error message and don´t know why:

It means something like: "There is no available Iview for system xxx: object course. You get additional information from your administrator".

What is the reason for this ??  My Iview is displayed embedded in the portal, that message is displayed at the same time as a popup. Before being able to display the Iview I also got the error message.

Hi all,

I'm having an issue with calling webservices in a SAPUI5 project. My question is the following:

- I have an url like this: http://example.sap.corp:1111/SAPHost/?wsdl

- Through SOAPUI I was able to insert this url, get all the webservices inside the WSDL and called two differents webservices.

- After this I've tried to write the JavaScript code to call one webservice but I'm not getting any response.

Hi All,

We have altered domain1 to domain2 in ldap. Some of the roles(tabs) are missing after migration of the UME/LDAP connection.

Before migration the user has all the roles and after migration some of the ladap as well as ume roles (tabs)  are missing.

I am getting below error in nw 7.3 sp 5 portal upgraded environment .

400   Session Not Found 

Failed to process the request: Request refers to an unknown session

Any application that goes to webdynpro/dispatcher path will throw this error but the same application if accessed as webdynpro/resources works fine .

we have upgraded 4 systems and this issue happens only in 2 systems other 2 systems are working fine .

any thoughts ....

i followed  below steps

• Import (tc~sec~ume~logon~ui.war ) WAR file in to NWDS
• add JAR file (tc~sec~ume~logon~logic_api) in to lib folder.
• when i add tc~sec~ume~logon~logic_api jar file in lib folder all errors gone in normal JSP File

Please suggest me the steps so that issue resolved. Thanks in advance.

Dear Experts,

  I have an issue that when I changed some query currency conversion and transported it to production, I open it using Bex analyzer, it is ok.

  But when I use portal iview, the changes is not reflected.

  Can anyone help me? Thanks.

I have been doing so many things to the portalapp.xml that now I have repeated the same references in multiple places in a effort to see if something would make it work. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I changed framework jsp file and njw I want to change display of content area in this layout. In whitch path I can find this?

Hi All,

We have created a transaction iview (GUI for HTML ) as a  link in portal and it is working fine in development portal.

But the problem is when it is transported to the Quality portal, unable to delete the selected rows in the application,though we have selected the rows getting a message"please select at least one personalization object to be deleted".

Could someone help me in this regards.
