Error User Authentification failed

Hi experts,

 

we have setup a JAVA portal which is checking the users against the ERP-Backend system.

It was working good till now. BUt today, all users get the error "User Authentification failed".

 

I can login with administrator, but in IDM on checking some users I also get the error, that I am not authorized.

I checked the groups and roles of administrator, and they look good.

 

If I login with J2EE_ADM_PED it is the same, I also got prompt to change the password on login....a bit strange to be honest....

 

In the log I found the following below, we also tried a restart without success.

Would be nice if somebody have some ideas.

Forgot password link with google server in sap portal 7.0

Hi Experts,

 

We have a requirement that Enabling the forgot password link on portal logon page.

We have to do with Google server as we don't have SMTP.

 

Please provide the steps which needs to be done with google server, and where we will configure the google server details.

Portal version: 7.01

Data Source: ABAP.

Editing UME Properties Online in Sap Portal 7.0

We want to edit the below UME properties in sap portal 7.0

 

ume.notification.admin_email = admin@yourdomainname

ume.notification.system_email = admin@yourdomainname

ume.notification.mail_host = server.yourdomainname

Portal 7.31 upgrade from SP11 to SP14

Hi All,

We have the Portal 7.31 at SP 11 .

We have implemented the ESS/ MSS- ABAP applications.

And also we have setup the SSO to other Systems like-Success factors.

and have some custom JAVA application ( as war) .

 

Now we are planning to Upgrade from SP11 to SP14 , But before that we want to understand how this upgrade will affect our current functionality?

Do we also need to update other components ? Or ECC components also?

Where can i check that how much amount of memory has been allocated to my As java application server. Ours is NW7.4 one server node is configured on the AS java (only java stack) CI.

Portal Session Accumulation Issue

Hello Experts,

 

We have known issues with Portal Session Accumulation and lot of discussion around it in SCN. We are also facing a similar but different issue.

 

Similar in sense that session of users are not expiring and different in sense that the timeout parameters we have defined is working for all applications, but one: /webdynpro/resources/sap.com/pb details of which can be seen in the screenshot attached.

 

We have set timeout parameters and if we observe other application in NWA-> Session Management: Resource Consumption for users have created at and Expiration Time set but for this application Expiration Time is missing. Because of which all other application are removed from a user's session except this application. This keeps on accumulating and ultimately our session limit is crossed and we have to restart our servers.

 

I have been looking for this issue for quite some days and have finally reached to a point where i can conclude the possible root cause.

 

Please help me on how can this be corrected.

Ability to attach support documents for Family dependents in ESS

Hi Experts,

 

We have a requirement to attach support documents in Family Dependents section in Personal Information in ESS.

 

We are using Portal 7.02 and ESS is webdynpro java.

 

Please suggest on how to upload the attachments in Family dependents section. Is there any infotype or subtype to map with Family dependents.

We can search for all users based on this criteria or we can search for users assigned to a group.how do we combine

System information in Portal possible

Hi Portal experts

 

We use dual stacks, ABAP and JAVA.

We need a standard possibilty in Portal to inform the user that the ABAP stack is not available due to upgrade activities.

 

Any ideas if there is a standard object which can be filled up with such information?

PDF not opening from Portal SAP transaction iview

Hi All,

 

We have a created a SAP IAC iview in EP 7.4 and displaying the t-code in Portal.

T-code gets displayed correctly in Portal,but when i try to click on Post button in the iview the PDF does not open.

I checked it through ITS from backend and the PDF opens properly.

 

EP version- 7.4

IE11

SAP t-code- MIGO

 

Any particular ITS settings that needs to be looked into.

 

Will be really grateful if anyone can help me out on this.

what all the configuration and settings need to be done to implement this in SAP Portal 7.4 .

UWL Exception

Hi Experts,

 

While clicking a task from UWL in portal an exception is getting " user is missing exception in connecting to....". This is happening for only one user. Can i know how can i fix that? Kindly let me know if this is due to any role or group missing from backend system? If so, the group required for the same.

SLD user is getting locked every time

Hi Experts,

 

We are using portal 7.0 version. DB consultant has change the SLD user password in the server level. so that we are not able to access the applications which is using JCO connectios.

 

Due to this create and maintain jco destination button are in disable mode.that SLD user is frequently locking.

 

Please help me any one on this issue.

Again I need you help on the process of customizing Logon screen of Netweaver.

 

I have created one Guest user link on Portal logon page (Below login button). Now I need to create default login to the portal with guest user credentials (user: guest Pswd: guest) .

 

Please tell me the process to login to the netweaver with link I have created..(Once clicked user should automatically login to the portal with the above given user detail)

Facing a problem while accessing the standard forum iview.

Hi Experts,

 

We have a requirement to configure the forums in portal. Our Portal version is 7.00 and deployed the forums component successfully in Netweaver.

 

While we are accessing the standard forums iviews facing below error:

 

an error occured in the portal comportant during the rendering of the requested page.

error message: the iView property 'com.sap.nw.coll.forums.portal.ForumsView is not correctly set up. '' is an invalid value.

 

Kindly advise.

Resize Crystal report page based on data

Hi,

  I am new to crystal report and pardon me if the following question looks silly. I have a crystal report with 2 sub reports. The volume of data passed to the subreport to display varies. So i want to create a report pages which adjust to data it posses. Because i have sum of data at the end of the report which is only entry in next page . I tried using option Keep together for subreport. But it didnt yield me any desired result. IS there is any solution for this? Please let me know. Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

Visual studio version 2013

Crystal report version 13.0.12.1494
