Change Recording problem

Hello everybody!

We're giving Change Recording a try in our Enterprise Portal. I've come across an issue I cannot explain. Maybe someone can shed some light on this:

 

I want to create a new PCD role in a folder with change recording enabled. So I create a new changelist in the Change Organizer (owner is "<my userid>") and mark it as standard. Then, I go to the Content Administration and create the role. After saving, I am informed that this change has been recorded, but the change does not go to my newly created changelist, but to another (new) changelist that gets created and describes itself as an "Automatically created changelist". In addition, the owner of this new changelist is something like "administrator;<some other userid>;<my userid>" and the changelist is "standard for administrator;<some other userid>;<my userid>".

 

O. k., I can work with this changelist, but I'd think that changes I apply would go to mystandard changelist (if there is one defined).

 

Then, I move the change to my self-created changelist in the Change Organizer. After that, I'm no longer able to modify the role I created; I get the information that the object "is locked by <my userid>". Well, yes, that's true, but it's locked by me so I'd expect to be able to modify the object. The only way to be able to edit it is to move the change back to the "Automatically created changelist" from above with the wrong userid. I'm not able to change the owner of this changelist to "<my userid>".

 

Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong ?

SAP Business object Dashboard integration in SAP EP 7.4

Hello Team ,

 

We have got a Dashboard which we need to integrate inside SAP EP 7.4

 

The goal is :

 

1) Create a Iview , Use the URL provided by BW team and open it inside Portal Content area

2) This should not open in New window .

 

Right now even if i create a URL iview or BSP iview and set property to open inside Portal content area it overwrites the Portal session

 

and open in same window .

 

Kindly help me in same.

Hi Experts,

 

I am getting the following error while click on the webdynpro application.

 

JCO destinations are successfull but when i click on iView it is throwing  error.

 

com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (103) RFC_ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE: Password logon no longer possible - too many failed attempts.

 

Please find the below screen shot.

Error starting 'C:\...\tx.sap' rc=2

Hi there,

 

I am getting reports from some clients that they cannot access the SAP single sign on link from our intranet.

 

When they click on the link, instead of SAPgui opening, IE11 pops up with a yellow bar at the bottom of the page asking if the client wants to "open or save tx.sap".  (SEE SCREENSHOT 1)

 

If they click open, it seems that .sap files are not associated with SAP. So if that is changed so that it is associated, the following error will appear in SAP when the file is opened:

Error starting 'C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\NBLYOJEN\tx.sap' (rc=2)

 

This only seems to be an issue for some clients, and they can still access SAPgui by logging in manually.

 

Any help on how to amend this will be greatly appreciated.

SAP Gui (transaction) opening problem in the Portal (tx.sapssd)

When tried to run SAP transaction using the App Integrator the system gives the file download message (tx.sapssd). There is no choice to open (only save and close).

Since there is no program associated with (.sapssd).

 

When we associated this file with SAP Gui (SAP Logon Application, in windows Tools->Folder Options->File Types) and try to run the transaction we get the dialog to select the program to use, this time if we select the program ‘SAPGUI for Win32’ then we get the SAP Logon Pad error message which says Error starting “‘tx.sapssd’ [rc=-2]”

 

We have already referred following threads and the SAP Notes specified in it but no use.

The problem exists only on some of the computers all other places it works fine.

 

(We have SAP NW2004s SP 12 portal and SAP R/3 4.7D, SAP GUI 6.4 Patch Level 26)

Purchase order release from SAP Portal

Hi,

 

My intention is once user click in SAP portal it should open the tcode ME29N with the corresponding PO number

for that work item and the approver should be able to release that PO from ME29N.

 

Is there any standard POWL configuration for Purchase order release from SAP Portal.

Based on the Task 'TS20000166 -  Release of purchase order' in POWL configuration

i am getting the purchase order release work items link in Portal.But it is calling the Business Object  'SWF_WIOBN' in portal  .

Inside that OBN i am not finding any default iview for Purchase Order release.

Do we have any standard BO in portal which will open the iview for

purchase order release.


If any standard BO in portal for purchase order release how we can call the same instead of 'SWF_WIOBN'.

Where we are mentioning which BO to call in portal.


Note: Already deployed Buyers package in Portal

           Portal version :7.4

How to make SAP Portal(Quality) non-searchable in search engine

How can I make my quality website is not searchable in any of search engines?

 

Our QA website( example https:///mysiteQA.com) also showing in Search engines( ex: Google.com)  along with our production portal

Customers are unknowingly going to QA site instead the production site since they are able to see the QAsite as well .

 

Please any suggestions or help on  any settings on the portal to make it non searchable? .

Issue in Reading Java System Property from EJB

Hello All,

 

I have a requirement to create a property in EJB DC which is configurable through NWA.

 

For this, I have created an EJB DC & EAR DC.

In the META-INF folder of EAR DC, I have created “sap.application.global.properties” file.


In file, I have created the required property and deployed the application.


In NWA, these properties are getting displayed/modifiable.


In session bean of EJB DC I am wrote below code to read the required property: -

But, surprisingly, the variable “appProps” (marked in yellow) is getting returned as null, due to which null pointer exception occurs &  I’m not able to fetch the required property.


I have also tried the approach of reading props like below, but still no luck.

Page access using NavigationTarget URL after role removed

Hello All,

 

In our portal we have this arrangement that each portal role will be mapped to a particular portal group.

 

 

In case if we need to disable a particular application for end user we will just remove the portal role to group mapping. So that the user will not be able to access the application.

 

For example if a portal role XX mapped to group YY. And YY  assigned to N users. To disable the application, only the XX->YY mapping will be removed.

 

But when the user stores the application URL in the browser in the format https://server:port/irj/portal/NavigationTarget=navurl://sdjkfwec, the user is able to access the application.

 

I tried deleting browser cache and in portal navigation cache, PRT cache, UME cache , OBN cache but nothing works.

 

 

Kindly let me know if we can resolve this in any other way.

Creating dedicated logging view in NWA for 3 custom applications

Hello All,

 

I have a requirement where I need to log messages from 3 custom applications (2 Portal DCs & 1 WD Java DC) into a dedicated logger view in NWA.

This messages should not be part of default traces/SAP logs.

 

Portal version is 7.4 SP9.

 

Exact words from requirement are as follows: -

 

The log entries should be visible under a separate section / view in NWA log viewer, it should not be logged in default traces or SAP logs.

The following information should be visible in the SAP Account Mapping log:

• Severity

• date

• time

• Message

• User

 

 

I am currently using below approach to log my messages in apps: -

 

private static final Location loc = Location.getLocation(MyClass.class);

private static final Category cat = Category.getCategory(Category.APPS_COMMON, MyClass.class.getName());

 

SimpleLogger.log(Severity.DEBUG, cat, loc, "DEBUG", "[static block] Inside static block of MyClass");

 

But I don't know how to log messages in separate view in NWA.

 

Please help.

UWL Error-"You are not authorized to use transaction SWNWIEX"

Hi Experts,

 

While opening a task from UWL from portal, iam getting "You are not authorized to use transaction SWNWIEX".  Attached the error screen shot.

 

Kindly let me know if any portal configuration need to be done for this error?

MYSAPSSO2 ticket is not created

Hi,  We are using a Siteminder logon module to accomplish Single Sign on to the Enterprise Portal. 7.04.   SSO Logon is successful to the portal, but the MYSAPOSS2 ticket is not created.   Hence we can not get automatic sign on from EP to the next abap system.

 

Is there actual documentation for the CreateTicketLoginModule?   And how it acts in a Logon Stack?   For example: if there are two authentication modules (such as Siteminder and Basic) would either one being true cause it to Create a ticket if create ticket is last?   Or would one immediately proceeding it being false, cause it not to be created?

 

We did have 5 logon modules as defined in Header Variables Logon Stack documentation (Evaluate, Siteminder, Createticket, Basic, CreateTicket), but wondered if the last "create ticket" might be wiping out the one from the prior one, ,even though it never presented a Basic Login screen when Siteminder was successful.   Now we just have one CreateTicketLoginModule at the end (Evaluate, Basic, Siteminder, Createticket) , and have the same behavior.   It always creates a ticket when doing the BasicPassword logon (to NWA), but not when the Siteminder SSO is successful to the EP.

 

Any other suggestions of why the MYSAPOSS2 ticket might not be created?

Opening BEx Web Analyser using Custom Portal Favorite

Hi Experts,

 

We have customized the portal favorites using KM API which reads content from

 

Content Administration -> KM Content -> Root -> User Home -> <UserID> -> favorite.

 

I have brought BEx Report (BI Report) link through WEBDEV from BI Portal KM and stored in the above path.

 

When I go to my favorite folder and click the BEx report, it is opening the BEx web analyser in the content area.

 

Here is my question:

 

We are able to bring all the favorites (including BEx report link) into Custom portal favorite.

 

Each collection / Internal link / external links are working fine.

 

Here I would like to open a BEx web analyser in my content area when I click link in my custom portal favorite.

 

We have below the contentlink available in property of the report.

Editing Supported User Agent property

NetWeaver Portal 7.4

 

We would like to restrict the portal to Chrome via the "Supported Agent" property in the framework page. There are few combinations of browsers / user-agents available in the drop down but we would like to set "Chrome" alone. Where does one go and change the drop down values ?

Now I just want to deploy it on to the Portal server.

 

Should I create a JSP Dynpage ?

I've the complete jsp file . Shud i need to do anything to convert it into a jsp dynpage ?

 

Can anyone tell me the procedure of how to achieve this ?

Framework issues after Upgrade from NetWeaver 7.0 to 7.4

Hi,

 

We have recently our portal from 7.0 to 7.4

After upgrade we are facing issues with portal frameworks. Everything looks distorted on the screen.

I tried all standard portal desktops but getting issues with all.

 

I have also followed following SAP Notes but nothing worked :

 

1535174 - Post upgrade step for AFP in NW Portal 730 and 702

1612008 - Problem in Ajax Framwork After Upgrade 7.30

2195099 - Portal theme is inconsistent after upgrade

How to hide detailed navigation for some roles ?

Hello All

I would like to hide the DTN panel for some of the roles in our portal, its 7.4 SP11. The role structure is Role - Workset - Pages/Views

I am using the Ajax Framework Page

 

For the iViews/Pages, the property 'initial state of Navigation Panel " is set to Always Close.

 

But still the navigation panel appears. Is there any other settings to be maintained?
