We have an external MSADS datasource for our IDs for our portal. LDAP is being used to fetch IDs from MSADS to portal UME database. But we were required to change to LDAPs i.e enable SSL between UME and LDAP source. We have defined the MSADS server and other attributes to be fetched using in a XML configuration file.
During the process of enabling SSL by basis, the roles assigned to the user have gone missing. Whenever we login using the ID there is message "No roles assigned to the user". What could be the reason??
The configuraion on the UME tab from system Admin tab and the XML config file ws played around with. Could this be the reason??
If we need to change the connection from LDAP to LDAPs, what are the pre-requisites or proper procedure to do so that we dont lose the role assignments of users in the portal. Does the back up of user master be taken?? How can we avoid this role assignment issue?
