Portal Upgradation

Hi,

      We have upgraded the enterprise portal from 7.3 to 7.4. After upgradation some of the custom applications are overwritten by standard one.(Lost some of controls like buttons on portal screen). So what are the next steps to be taken to see the portal as it is earlier(Customized one).
