I am trying to configure FPN between SAP Netweaver Portal 7.4 SP04 and SAP NW CE 7.4 SP07 using message server for load balancing.
I am successfully able to configure FPN between my producer and consumer portals with direct FQDN hostnames and port numbers. That is, using default ports: HTTP - 5xx00 & P4 - 5xx04. Using this i am able to copy remote content from my producer portal to consumer portal.
However, issue is when we use load balancing with message server. We have load balancer configured in our network and hence, when I configure FPN between producer and consumer portal using load balancing with message server port 3904, i am able to register the FPN but not able to copy remote content from producer to consumer. I get error message saying "could not connect to remote portal. The remote portal maybe down, there may be a network problem, or your connection settings to the remote portal may be configured incorrectly."
The port 3904 is open on network and I am able to telnet.
If any of you have come across similar issue configuring FPN on SAP NW 7.4 with message server, your experience will help me solve the issue.
