We recently restarted production portal. When it came back the BEx web application service to view reports from Query Designer stopped working.
I followed the SAP Note related to troubleshoot and it led me to make sure the connection was good between the two systems of portal and BW. The trust appeared to have been broken as it registered unknown. I clicked on the establish trust button and it said it was good. When I tested the connection though everything worked but the actual connection to BW.
Nothing else has changed about the landscape that I'm aware of. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Thanks.
Consulted SAP Note: 1903392 - Error: First RFC call failed, config not loaded
The issue appeared to be a time mismatch between the portal and ABAP BW server. Logon tickers were failings as a result. As soon as server time was in sync and application restarted tickets began working properly.
