Sending data to WebTrends from Portal Apps & WD Java apps

Hello,

We have to integrated WebTrends in our Portal and need to send data from Portal applications & Web Dynpro Java applications.

I understand that we have to use a javascript file provided by WebTrends in our applications.

I have below questions: -

1. One of the requirement is that we have to ensure that webtrends is called asynchronously, i.e., if WebTrends is slow or down, it should not hamper Portal performance.

Any clues on how this can be handled?

2. How do we send the data to webtrends from a Web Dynpro Java application as we cant do any script level coding/modification in Web Dynpro?
